Just got an E72, so would like to confirm, should i download songs or videos, is it entirely free?

yep, downloading via wifi is free (it's the same as a laptop downloading programmings via wifi)
Anyways, to make sure you are downloading via wifi turn your phone into offline mode. (Press the power button, scroll down to offline mode) this way the phone is not able to switch to 3G/GPRS if your wifi connection drops
