HELP!

  Hi all, i'm having some problems with my desktop recently.I taken some photos of the problem. Can you all help me solve?

  What am i supposed to do? They say i can attempt to repair the missing or corrupt file but i dont know how to. I tired using the CD-rom but i dont know when i'm supposed to press 'r'. What is the first screen?

  I say just spam the button when you see the screen. Always works if you really dunno when to press.

  Is it the Windows installation CD that you have? Or some other CD from your manufacturer such as Dell, Acer, Lenovo, HP, etc?

  You can try this method: Do a repair windows installation: 1. Put in your windows setup CD and run win xp setup 2. During xp setup, the setup program will detect your existing windows xp and prompt if you want to format the harddisk and install windows or do a repair windows installation 3. Choose repair windows installation and continue from there

  hi all, thanks for your replys.

  Raraken, I tried spamming the button but nothing happens.

  ndmmxiaomayi, yes I only have the Windows installation CD. Because my desktop is custom made, so I dont have anyother CDs.

  starExcaliblur, Once i on my computer it's stuck at black screen shown above. I cant do anything else. & when i choose to start my windows normally or any other options given, it just hangs.

  Check if your desktop still on warrenty? If yes, call your vendor for help

                                                       Backup your files

  Remove your harddisk,

  plug it via USB harddisk connnector to another PC

  Backup your data into the PC ie don't forget the files on my document too

                                                       Reinstall Windows

  If you don't have the accessories CD, you can download them from internet onto the USB drive.

  Put the harddisk back into your comp and reinstall the windows.

  You may choose to reformat your harddisk

  Windows will install default drivers for hardware on your desktop.

  After the installation, you will need to install other accessories drivers on your USB drive or Accessories CDs.

  If you find above steps too complicated.

  If you prefer to pay.. ask a  computer shop assistant for help..

  OK.

  Set your PC to boot up from the CD/DVD drive. Put in the XP installation CD and follow instructions.

  When you reach a screen that asks if you want to install Windows or repair Windows, select the Repair option. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  You might want to consider using UBCD4Win to backup your files before attempting a repair, lest you lose your files during the repair.

  You don't have to fully boot into windows to put the windows installation CD into your CDROM / DVDROM.

  When your computer is starting, press the Cdrom / Dvdrom eject button to push out the disc loading tray, then insert the windows installation CD into the disc loading tray and press the eject button to close the Cdrom / Dvdrom.

  After your windows installation CD is in the Cdrom / Dvdrom, just either press the reset button or power off and power on the computer. Your Cdrom / Dvdrom should boot up first, thus allowing you to run windows xp setup program from the CD

  PS: Remember to set the boot sequence to Cdrom / Dvdrom first, then harddisk in the bios.
