If you look for the laptop, the label should say Pentium Dual Core T4200 (The current generation PDC CPUs) and not anything else.
Is the Intel Pentium fast?
Faster than my pentium 4?

The Pentium Dual Core will smack the Pentium 4 and eat it. Simply put, anyway.

Intel Pentium? So far, the current generation Pentium (Single-Core) only got one, and its for laptops. If you mean the 1995? Pentium, then, obviously your P4 will smack, stamp, eat and shit on the Pentium.

So the Single core Pentium for labtop is a long thing that existed in 1995?

No. Intel reuse the Pentium name.
The Pentium (Dual-Core) you see is NEW GENERATION CPU, using new architecture (not so new lah).
That Pentium (1995) is the FIRST Pentium CPU.
Anyway, why the **** would you want a single-core? Move into the future, dude.

because the single core labtop is quite cheap around $800

For about $100 more you can get the Dual-Core version. Single-core CPUs + Vista = Bad Idea
