Anyone of u here owns a LG Home Theatre System? Wanna ask, there are these 2 tall speakers, which are I suppose are used to project background sounds am I right?
How does it work exactly? Does it work only when playing DVDs, or it will work also when watching tv?
Was asking this because yesterday was watching War of the World, and I noticed there were plenty of explosions etc, but we couldn't hear it being projected out from the 2 tall speakers.
Well, this was the 1st Home Theatre system we owned, so we don't know how it exactly works. Hopefully someone out there who owns them knows how it works and can explain to me.
Thanks!
I dunno also.. But my dad went to make it in a way.. Even watching TV, sound come out from our system not our TV.
Yah. Sound is coming out from our system, but not the 2 tall speakers.
The sounds is coming out from the smaller ones.
I don't think I have ever heard sounds coming out from the 2 tall ones since we've got them.
U can ask pilly, he damn good at all this stuff.
Alright. Maybe I shall wait till tonight to see if there's any replies. If not I will ask pilly. Can't wait to surf net tonight!
I hope your net get screw up!
Not sure about home theatre in a box
normally the for 5.1 the talking come from the center speaker, then the surround come from the back left and right
And normally the back surrounds uses the smaller speaker, the front main left and right uses the tall speaker
you should ask sbs about it
yea, but do i need to do any configuration? or when the person installs it, by default it should work this way?
If you are watching a movie with 5.1 surround sound, it will work that way.
However if you switch it to 2.1, the sound will only come out from the front 2 speakers
2.0 or 2.1 is more for music and listening. 5.1 is just for the sound of plane flying past, from front to back etc
if it's not movie? if only watching tv?
home theatre system is IT meh?
next time my rice cooker spoil i post here
5 speakers, the centre speaker usually handles dialogue.
the front left, right and rear left, right do surround duty. they provide the feeling that things move from left to right, or front to back.
woofer is there for boom boom sounds.
if the surround effect really does matter to you a lot, place the speakers in their right positions, like how the front speakers should be in front of you and the rear ones behind you. the center speaker should be right in the middle of your listening position for the best effect.
the woofer can be placed usually anywhere, hidden, as bass travles in all directions. just make sure that you do not block the speaker opening or bass ports, if any.
don't make the classic mistake of people piling all the speakers in front of them only and then asking why they don't get surround effects.
now the problem is , will there be surround sounds when i watch tv, or is it only when i watch movies on dvd?
SBS thanks for your explanation anyway.
