Hi,
My PC tries to restart itself every time I watch online clips, such as on YouTube. This occurs most of the time while watching on full screen.
The Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) error states that it might be hardware or software error.
Any idea? Please help me...
How about an offline video?
No problem with offline video.
Hmm... what browser are you using?
I use both safari and IE. Problem on both...
Hmm... what protection software are you using?
Do you have the crash dump file? To generate crash dump file:
Right click my Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > Startup & Recovery's Settings > Under Write Debugging Information, choose Small Memory Dump. Than try to generate BSOD again than navigate to C:\WINDOWS\Minidump and upload it somewhere than paste the link here. I can try to analyze for you.
Above method is for XP but I believe Vista has a similar method too.
Here's the minidump files:

Hope it helps...thanks a lot...
Thanks for uploading it, I have checked and realised that majority is 0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION. Which put it in a simple form is more or less an hardware error.
So recently have you update any of your hardwares like graphics card, sound card etc... Did you just bought your computer and if you bought it for quite awhile and this problem only happens now? Also have you tried viewing the same video in fullscreen in other browsers beside Safari.
Another thing is to do a memtest, which is to check your RAM for errors. To install memtest go here & than prepare a blank CD and a burning software (e.g. Nero). Once you have downloaded the above file open and extract the content inside which you will see "memtest86+-2.11.iso". Open your burning software and simply points it to the iso and let it burn. Restart your computer and put the disc inside when it first start (BIOS screen) than press any key to boot the disk. Than you will see a blue colour screen than just let it do the test for at least 10 tries. Watch the error column to see if it has any number other than 0. If there is, it is most probably your RAM has problem but before you disposed off, it is wiser to go to your manufaturer and let them test it out.
To burn from Nero: Nero>Disk Image or Saved Project>[select the memtest iso file]Ok>Next

how about you try Mozilla Firefox?
Thanks SBSTransport.
I believe the problem lies in the RAM as I've not update any graphic/sound cards or other hardwares recently, and I bought my computer a couple of years back.
Anyway, the computer didn't restart if I watch videos in small screen, though the same problem will occur in other browsers as well.
I consider this problem more or less resolved. Hope it proves helpful to those having the same problem.
Will using BartPE solve the problem?

Only occurred in full screen mode? How old is your PC?

Curious to see your suggestion. Not quite sure how BartPE would fit in now.

I think you should clear your temp Internet files now and then. Or you can also increase the space allocated for your temp files.
