hi all,
i just got my computer repaired coz the hard drive apparently got corrupted
now, even though i have installed the appropriate sound cards and the speakers plugged in correctly (by colour coding right?) there is no sound at all!!!
if i plug my headphones in, there is also no sound in the headphones...
help!
Soundcard?
could it be that the onboard sound is enabled instead of the soundcard
cant remember how to set them already, should be under sound and audio device in control panel
i plugged in my speakers already but at the sound and audio devices they say speakers not plugged in...
a faulty audio jack perhaps?
u nid the drivers or nid to get them updated. find the company and the model of ur cpu and google it for drivers.

If your motherboard has onboard sound card, you need to change the sound settings in Windows to use your sound card, instead of the motherboard onboard sound card.
Which version of Windows are you using?

Set on-board sound to OFF in your BIOS setup, then windows will use your PCI soundcard that is, since you had installed the drivers for your soundcard, it should work once you disable the on-board sound. (:

and must reformat my entire comp
like wtf la... last time he reformatted my comp coz of hard drive corruption, my comp lost its sound
like reformatting it is going to solve this problem -.-
