Asus is good,
Asus is the best
Dont ever think of buying Lenovo
Suddenly, netbooks are following the route to performance laptops. As such, so are its prices. The 500-700 dollars range all shoot to 900-1200 range already.
More stuff means more battery power, means bigger battery, means heavier netbook, netbooks are suppose to be basic and light.
I got the MSI coz even with the 6 cell batt, it still weighed in under 1.3kg, less than the asus 1000 with the same batt is 1.45. Anything heavier I might as well get a full spec laptop.
The weight is a big factor when you are thinking mobility. I mean its suppose to be light thats why you dont mind and want to carry it around right?

Netbooks were never meant for watching high-quality videos or playing high-end computer games to begin with.
Yup... but some people do watch videos on the go out of boredom.

The hardware specifications have to just meet the weight ratio. 1.25 - 1.41 kg

I download movies, dramas, shows and convert them to mp4 for my nokia e90, to watch on the go. Kinda crazy carrying around a 1.2kg thing to just to watch movies and surf the net. Try doing it on an MRT, its not easy while standing.
I bought my netbook so I can bring it to site and do the basic office things like office, and presentations. Installed WoW on it so I can play at home, lying on the floor, as some WoW activities are really mundane, like fishing.

I watch Youtube on my MSI, and I have no problems.....
Besides, when you're on the go, you don't exactly expect to have great-quality high-definition videos right there on your lap.
The netbook has always been marketed as a low-cost, portable device for low-resource applications. If you're really serious about watching videos and playing higher-end games while on the go, then you should get a proper laptop.
The S12 if I remember correctly was based on the ION platform? Its a good netbook, but, Lenovo.........
