i seems to have this problem out of the blue with my msn messenger, i was able to sign in yest midnight, but when i wake up today, i cant seems to connect msn even though everything was in place, and i didnt change any of the settings.
did the trouble shooting, and it says that it's my key port that's something wrong.
googled, tried all the solutions i found, but nothing seems to help.
the error msg is " service is temporarily unavailable "
error code is 80048820
i tried with both desktop and laptop, both cant sign in.
desktop via wired connection, laptop via wireless.
tried turning off router's firewall, and did all possible config alr, nothing helps.
anyone out there know how to solve this problem?
browsing the web seems ok, only MSN had the problem.
router brand is ZyXEL
Go task manager end all msnmsgr.exe
Check ur internet explorer and disable all proxy configuration
tools> internet options>connection>Lan settings
Uncheck all and check Automatic detect settings
Check that your computer time and region is correct!
Run>msnmsgr.exe.
Uncheck remember me and remember password and manually type your password and email
Log into msn..
if cannot work now check remember pass and email and try log in again
if still cannot work, go task manager, end all msnmsgr.exe and download this

extract it and run the batch file and wait for all the files to be registered.
Run>msnmsgr.exe and try log in.
IF still cannot try go and log in with ur bro/sis/fren email and see if it works and post here

i manage to figure out what's the damn problem alr, it's my NOD 32 anti-virus firewall -.-
for what i dont know, it just suddenly block my MSN from signing in.
tried disabling the nod32 then everything back to normal again.
stupid anti-virus, i guess i gonna change one soon

omg eset nod 32 is zai anti virus lei.
right click nod32 tray icon>open window
press control +m to toggle to advance layout
on the top click setup> personal firewall >configure rules and zones (is in blue)
scroll down and check if msnmsgr.exe trusted zone in/out , internet in/out
is all set to allow. if nt double click it to have a configuration options to pop up
I using Nod32. Very effective for me.
