Since installing satellite tv in Singapore is illegal, I am curious to know what is the penalty once you are caught?
I have also heard that the gahmen has a way to detect satellite dishes. But how do they detect them?
Last but not least, I don't understand, satellite tv is allowed in embassies, hotels, foreign schools and companies. Since foreigners can enjoy satellite tv, why can't we locals?
tv licence fee, broadcasting tax...
Since its a satellite dish. Which is a transmitter. It isn't hard for them to detect. Lol. What rednano said is true. If everybody uses the dish than mediacorp all down ler nobody paying money to them.

It's a receiver, not a transmitter.
You need a permit or licence for a satelite dish.
You can try applying. Once approved, you can install the satelite dish.
Good luck and Fat Hope.
