I meant, i dont see any benefit of HDMI except for Gaming on a LCD TV. But if u want to game on a LCD TV, u may as well buy a desktop or console which will have better gaming performance than a notebook
Its all in the name: High Definition Media Interface. Its for people who want to watch HD movies on their huge-ass LCD/Plasma. Its not just for gaming (Most laptops with HDMI can barely play games at HD-Ready resolutions, let alone Full HD.

Yeah, less screwing, more plugging as compared to DVI/VGA. Plus, you get the benefit of Audio, as well.
depends on ur setup, sometimes i play games on my LCD not only for the graphics but for audio also. or sometimes i use it to watch dramas with my gf
