Hi. i need this sort of ram for my mac
DDR2 SDRAM EEC PC2-4200E-444.
That's the same as what i have; according to my computer screen.
How does one check whether Ram is compatible with your system?
Also can anyone suggest some good places to get this sort of ram?
Cheers
EEC's are much more expensive than regular non-EEC.
Don't think many shops in Sim Lim carry.
Use CPU-Z? Than bring the specs to sim lim ask them see?

Yeah went for walkabout yesterday, couldn't find, especially for Mac.
Looks like i'm going to have to order.
You can probably call up Storage Studio, 1 Rochor Canal Road, #05-57, Sim Lim Square, Tel: 6837-2582, they might carry EEC RAM, but it's quite expensive.
I called some shops at sim lim and even the mac shop at funan, none of them got back to me after persistent calls and after i gave them my specs.
Customer service in sin city sucks! You people really suck sometimes. (no offence)
But anyway, i managed to get 16 gbs of ram for my G5 for $200, shipped in from US via japan from otherworldcomputing.com, all in 2 days. So now i have a mean machine. Thanks for the advice though guys. But i think the sim lim people wouldnt give me the time of day since i am using an older system.
Cheers
RAM is the easiest to install among others like video card and sound card...
