Desktop icon disappear

  my desktop icon and content were missing but when i go iside exploerer they are there. Anyone know how to make them visible?

  If there is not even a single icon on your desktop, it just means that someone has hidden them. Right-click on your desktop, look for something like "Hide icons". Click on it.

  On the other hand, if there are icons on your desktop but some of the icons you haven't touched in a while has gone missing, then it's just your Windows desktop cleanup wizard at work.

  mine was vista and when right-clicked, there are no hidden function.

  Right click desktop -> View -> Make sure the "Show Desktop Icons" option is ticked.
