Laptop DDR3 SO-DIMMS aren't very common, since not many laptops use DDR3. Most laptops use cheaper DDR2 DIMMS. Cheaper components=Cheaper laptop=Savings for you. I haven't seen any DDR3 laptop sticks the last time I went to Funan/SLS, so ask the moderators. They can help you more.

Fuwell selling Kingston DDR3 notebook RAM @ $68 for 1 2GB stick. while the cheapest tri-channel RAMs u can find is at least a hundred bucks. hmm...yeah. DDR2 2GB DIMM are hanging around the $35 - $40 region nowadays...
