Just ran anti-malware and it detected some malware that "disable security centre", naturally chose to remove it and I was prompted to do a restart - which I did too.
After I restarted, my wireless device doesn't work anymore. When I try to turn it on, it says "no wireless device".... What should I do?
Using an Aspire 5685WLMi and windows xp professional..
Thanks..
Driver is probably missing.
Double clicked on "intel proset wireless" and it says "was unable to detect a supported wireless adapter.. please install a supported adapter.."
Than go install?
Got link or whatsoever please?
I don't quite get it, why would the driver just disappeared like this after I removed malware?
Thanks anyway =)
sometimes the malware hid itself insde the driver, so when windows boots, it boots the driver for the piece of hardware, at the same time activating the malware.
wah lau.. of all things.. hide in my wireless driver... how humorous.. if let me see that person who wrote that malware, I sure hoot
