Cannot play mp3 in Window Movie Maker?

as above. last time i can play mp3 in movie maker but when i tried to make a video using a mp3 song, it cannot play when it is in the timeline but when I click on the thumbnail of the mp3 song, it can play (at the collections there) and i tried to uninstall and install again but it is still the same!! HELP!!!

Ok you see my prob is that I import a mp3 song, then i put it on the timeline, there is no u knoe those blue thinky of the sound and when I played it, it has no sound or it does not play. But when I click on the thumbnail of the mp3 song, it can play (at the collections there). Oh btw at my option of the filters got what programs files/ control files/nokia (i think is the what Mp3 support thinky but when i untick it, it also not work. sry tat i post this now in school.

I suspect this is the prob... but when I untick it, it gives me this:
when it is not the songs that is the problems!!!
even I restore all defaults I still get them!!! -

and when I put this mp3 song in the timelines, it has no the what u call the blue thinky about the volumes and sounds ans such!! -

Ensure your mp3 file can be played first. If it's confirmed to be not corrupted, try downloading Windows Movie Maker again from Microsoft site and reinstall..

libra - It can be played when I click on the thumbnail but at the timeline, it shows no blue thinky (look at the 3rd pic) and no sound been played.... -

bumpz and just wondering, can I used Movie Maker 2.6 on XP even though it is only for XP? cause I think this is the only way!
