I will never ever use IE. Unless i have no choice.
If you do have IE6, please upgrade.
People doing webdesign wouldn't have so much problems =(
I agree. Unfortunately, lots of sites need fixing...
any improvements of the rc(s)?
i tried the Rc and it feels worse than the IE7.
I feel its alot more better than IE7. Faster.
in the opening of tabs, IE8 would occasionally feel sluggish, as compared to google chrome v1.0.154.48
in the loading of webpages, IE8 is trying hard, it's still slightly slower than Google Chrome. but it's definitely faster than it's predecessor, IE7 or all the Release canidates of the IE8 family.
in the case of issues with viewing of a certain webpage - which is experienced by many when a new browser is updated to a new browser, there is a compatibility view. which is useful.
same for google chrome, incognito mode is included. - called private mode.
the differences between IE8 and GC is that IE8 has an improvement of applications - like acclerlometers. it has more safety issues and it's definitely more protected than IE7 in malware issues.
overall, for the first look. IE8 is indeed an improvement over IE7 and is comparable to rivals out there.

well you can change the tabs settings to create a blank page when new tabs are opened, it'll be faster. currently no problems for me so far. actually i feel it is much faster than firefox or it's just me. i just like new things installed. if it has linkification or something like that it'll be better.
it's a vague first impression review.
I tend to not change settings so as to compare the default vs the defaults of each browser.
If google chrome has no problems opening it's tabs (with a page filled of things). it doesn't justify to see why IE can't
