Mac or PC ?

  Hi everyone,

  I had a Sony Vaio SZ-56GN with the following specs :

  Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
  T7500 (2.2 GHz)
  Windows Vista Business
  RAM: 2GB
  HDD: 120GB (Hybrid HDD)
  nVidia GeFORCE 8400 GS GPU
  Optical: DVD RW
  LCD: 13.3" WXGA (CBLCD)
  Wireless: 802.11 a/b/g
  Integrated Bluetooth
  Memory Stick Duo Slot
  Built in Camera
  Fingerprint Sensor

  I'm just a Secondary student with a netbook (Acer AOD150) , HP Desktop (S3788d) & this sony notebook.

  This notebook is coming to a year old and I'm planning to sell it away. Using that money , I'm planning to buy a macbook ($1588).

   

   

  I bought this for $2499 from Sony,. How much is the value for this notebook now ?

   

  The reason for this post is : Should I keep this notebook and don't sell ? Is mac good ? What's the suggested selling price for my notebook ?

  Nah , don't get the wrong idea eh ?

   

  Because I seldom use my notebook and instead desktop. I'm afraid that the value might "drop". And I'm also more of  a "IT-man" where I do progamming etc. If I sell it away , I can't possibly be buying another windows notebook. So ya ? thanks for reply (:

  why do you need a mac for?

  Hard to answer,subjective :S

  Why do you need a PC ?

  (For normal serving , programming , gaming , etc)

  Why do you need a Mac ?

  For serving , programming , multimedia .

  I'm gonna assume that Mac's functions is about the same as a PC though.

  before u buy, go and check whether the programs are compatible with mac.

  if u game, go get a PC.

  If you dont do any designs, dont get macbook la.

  Programming need mac meh.

  And also, you dont use laptop much, yet still wanna get macbook. Very contradicting. Why not you just keep you current laptop? 

   

  I think you just want a macbook cuz you see most ple are carrying one (at least my area there), right? Just want somethin new rite?
