advice, pc crashed but want to get NB

  hi, PC crashed, think the power supply blown and affected MB.

  given the PC is 5yrs old, time to change. want to move to a NB.

  However, need some advice on how to port over the data from the PC's HDD to a NB one?

  I just want to get the photos in the HDD..

  Please advise. Much appreciated.

  get a 3.5inch hard drive casing. 

  place you hdd in it, connect to the power socket, and usb
