My old com crash then i took out my harddisk and put into a external hardisk casing. when i open up the folder i cant access my data. Anyway to solve this problem?
Anyone can help? thanks in advance.
data retrieval for damaged hdd is usually quite ex.
even companies don't go till that extend unless the data in it is extremely crucial.
i can access into the folder of my harddisk, but the owner folder cannot access when i click on it, it pop up "access is denied". My harddisk nvr spoil still working well.
Try doing chkdsk.
are you logged on as owner?

Background story of your problem (?) :
I suppose the operating system on your old HDD was either XP or Vista or Win 2K? By default these OS will use a file system called NTFS on the HDD, so if you try to access the HDD from another computer, permission settings will lock out other users from accessing the files/folders from another computer.
Solution:
Whether the computer you used for accessing the HDD is Vista/XP:

Follow the instructions there, the instructions there apply to Vista too..
