Unable to open Firefox browser

  Recently I been having problems opening my Firefox browser. Each time I click on Firefox, a message box appears " Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system".

  I also discovered that my C drive has some corrupt files and I used the Chkdsk utility to repair it but the problems still persists even using the one that required me to restart my com. There was an error in the Chkdsk program and it states that Windows was unable to open my C directory.

  I have search for online resources but none could solve my problem. I hope someone can assist me ini solving the problem.

  Its ok, problem solved. I used CMD command and typed Chkdsk """""...then the chkdsk could be run when i restart Windows..
