hi, recently my friend's laptop encountered a problem.
he is unable to connect wirelessly to any network (haven't tried wired LAN yet so don't know about the LAN connection status).
he tells me that the problem is caused by this program called "diagnose policy service", and that it's giving him errors when he starts it.
in short, start dps = error = no wifi.
his laptop is a compaq CQ40 series (not sure if it's a 102TU or 120TU one)
help appreciated, thanks :)
Tried Windows Zero configuration? Its in your services. Try starting that service.
For Xp & Vista: Control panel > Classic view > Adminstrative tools > Services > Scroll bottom and find windows zero something.
i'm not sure about him, but since we're both running service pack 0 (vista build 6000), and i can't find this windows zero config in my vista sp0 laptop, i don't think he can find it. but thanks anyway :)
