Have been using the Outlook 2003 for about 2 months now on Vista Business. A few days ago, it started crashing everytime I exit the program. I thought it might too many emails so I have archived some. Still the same. Anyone got any ideas what might be wrong? Vista and Outlook 2003 are up to date.
Let me rub my Google Crystal Ball...
Disable Outlook add-ons if any:

Disable any live anti-virus application:

And take a look at the event log as suggested by one of the forum posts linked above and Google the details related to Outlook crashes (or post the details here).
Forgot to mention that I have been running AVG 8 since I started using Outlook. Both have been working fine together prior to the Outlook crashing.
Anyway, I will try out some of the steps given in the links that you have so kindly pasted above and see if it can put me out of my misery, one way or another. Also I must polish my own Google Crystal Ball, can't find anything useful with regards to Outlook crashing. Too much dust I guess.
It was the dumb AVG causing the problem. After uninstall and reinstall AVG, all OK again.
Thanks dude!

You're welcome. Seems like AVG is causing its users quite a number of issues recently.
Keep rubbing the ball in the meantime. Practice makes perfect.
The fugging AVG killed my Outlook again. Sigh! Now have to try disable Add-On. If that does not work, gonna have to uninstall the fugging AVG. Who gives a shit that the license runs till 2010.
