Hi guys, I wanna get a hard disk during the next Singapore IT Fair which is around March, I think? So I was wondering what brands should I get? :) Like maybe you guys have a better clue of it than I do.
I heard SeaGate is really good and promising, what you guys think?
Btw, I'm looking for 1 Tera-byte Hard disk, preferably slim and easy to bring around. I detest bulky Hard disks.
Portable 1TB HDD? I think Seagate have. Or, buy the drive, then put inside enclosure.

1TB slim and easy to bring around? dream on. bulky 1TB hard disks will haunt your way...
1TB drives are currently only on a 3.5 Inch Form Factor. I think I did see a WD portable drive at Challenger, 1TB I think.

Erm... actually I dun really mind the offer. What's important to me is.. Durability & Convenience. Cuz I'll be using it frequently to and fro work.
under what circumstances would you need a 1TB hdd.
the prices would not be cheap though.
I suggest a 250gb hdd. -

I'm a web designer who deals with large amounts of memory space in every project that I handle. I draw alot in Photoshop/Freehand. I like to keep my Online Games, Music and most of my other Stash backed up inside my HDD. I am working, which means I need my precious HDD everywhere I go. 1TB will stay with me for life. The price is reasonable to me. Why not?Hope that answers your question.
Hmm, will keep a look out for you. - i have friends working in this line.
will check if they could give you a good price.

perhaps.
Segate Free Agent Desk $219
Segate Xtreme $249
Maxtor One touch 4 $209
All are of 1TB capacity, from challenger.
Friend can't give discount, but if you apply for a challenger card, it will definitely be cheaper by $10 or so
it does not depend on the branding, it depends on the person using it.
