I'm thinking of building my new com soon, but still deciding between Vista and XP.
I heard Vista comes with anti piracy features which are yet to be activated, I'm afraid when they do activate it with a service pack of something, I can't play unlicensed MP3s anymore? That would really suxs
Furthermore I'm thinking of getting the intel quad core instead of the core i7, since games run better on quad than i7. And i7 does not support ECC and only supports DDR3 hardware...

You are right man. Window XP rock big time. I hate Window Vista. Too much lag and unecessary pretty loading bars which takes a whole lot of extra time to load every single thing. and i always get bugs. dumb. Compare Window Vista to Mac, I choose Mac. Compare Mac to Windows XP, XP rocks! sorry la gamer is like that one. xD

stick to xp for games.
Vista is not a conductive platform os for games.
