I keep getting 'electrocuted' by my notebook when it's plugged into the mains when
I rest my hands on the body of the notebook. Somewhat like static and feels like pinpricks. It's really annoying. Anybody else has the same problem? What's the cause?
Check your plugs. Maybe you didn't connect the power supply into the laptop properly. I have such problems too but after I plug it in properly, it's solved.
or it can also be a sign of loosen socket or faulty adaptor's pin......
faulty adaptor's pin is easy to see but the in-built socket may be hard to ascertain....
no worries my handphone also.. now and then i will get shock!
u guys serious ? i know my dvd player will shock me la.. lol .. i off switch.. on again n 'PRIAAAAK' sound.. n i smell burnt smell... there goes my dvd player.
wear some hand gloves to act as insulator for your hands when u use the laptop.
its common i think..

anywhere is it?
usually it's at the hand rest ie. area next to the touch pad.that's the only part where there's any contact. It seems quite common. Nowadays I just lift my palms up 'coz the shock is really like pinpricks. If it was really static electricity, I think the notebook would have fried a long time ago.
