Help!
Cannot format memory card!
I've been using the card with my old canon back then.. And now I got the new canon.. I want to use the old card with it..
But I put the memory card into the camera, and it says "write protected".. And when I put it in my computer to try format.. it says "write protected too"
What should I do?

Try a system restore....for your pc

system restore wouldn't work. If i'm not wrong your memory card is an SD card. this problem often happens if your card reader is spoilt. try reformatting using another card reader, it might work.

what card is it?
if its an SD card presumably, it should have a little "lock" lever on the left side of the card. check if you locked it. unlock it if so. the lock prevents data from being written to the card.

Good advice there, thanks mate. I'm now able to use the SD card even without formatting.
