erm what i am trying to say here is lets say if the mp3 file is in the thumbdrive, and i want a song so i click and drag it in my desktop will it show in the thumbdrive that it has been taken before to where?

I get what you mean abit. By i think the song will still be at the thumbdrive and desk. Sort of copy and paste. This is usually my case. Just try and error.
