How to view hidden file?

  Hi, guys... i need your help here.

   

  When i go to a folder, it show, 30objects (plus 1 hidden files)

  How to i view the hidden file...

   

  I know the actual steps.. as per below, but..under Apperance and themes, I can't find folder options... Thus can't continue anymore le. Anyone can help.

  To display hidden files and folders

  1. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
     • Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
     • Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.
  2. On the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

  Dunno what version of windows you are using.

  For Windows XP: When viewing your folder, select tools, then folder options

  For XP no need go until control panel.

  Thanks guys for the reply.. I am using xp..but i dun not have the folder options...

   

  When viewing your folder, under my tools, I do no have the option (folder options).

  Please backup your windows registry first before trying the following

  Go into registry editor, go to the following key:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

  In the right hand pane, see if there is a value called NoFolderOptions

  If yes then change it’s value to 0.

  Reboot your computer and you should be able to see folder options.

  User command mode

   

  dir/a            will show you all files

  If you want to do the above the 'official and safe' way:

   

  Start ->  Run –> "gpedit.msc"
  User Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Windows Components –> Windows Explorer
  Enable and then Disable “Removes Folder Options menu from Tools menu”

  1 quick question..

  When I press, Alt, Ctrl, Del.. I can't open my task manager. It read.

  Is that your PC or your company's PC ?

  If it is company's PC, the system administrator probably disabled task manager to prevent users from messing with windows XP's settings.

  If it is your PC, are you able to access task manager and registry editor previously ?
