Software to scan documents into pdf files

  I need to scan documents (with colour and B&W) into pdf files. What are the more popular software available out there that are able to do this?

  1. Scan the documents and save them as images.
  2. Paste them into a word processing application such as Microsoft Word.
  3. Output them as a PDF file using PrimoPDF.

  The program works like a printer

  When u want to save the file as a pdf file, u click print, and select the printer name "PDF995"

  Then it will 'print' and save it as a pdf file

  the onli bad thing about this program is that everytime u 'print', it pops up an advertisement

  if not it is very good, and will not leave any fanciful watermarks
