IEEE 1394 and USB Drive

  Hi,

  My laptop dun have internal CD drive, it uses IEEE 1394 External CD drive.

  Now, i wanna do a factory reset using the "DVD" i made last time, after reformat, everything goes back to initial states. I had done this using the IEEE CD drive i mentioned.

  But, lets say, i use the recovery DVD on the USB external CD drive, will it work? Coz i afraid that the USB drive can only be recognised after it booted into window xp. can i use the usb external cd drive to run the recovery DVD?

  I think there should not be a problem. The bios should be able to take care of that.

  Yes it will as long as the drive appears in BIOS.
