Warranty help XP

Ok, I bought a laptop from school ( temasek poly ) about a year ago...
Its from Acer.
Now, its spoilt...cant boot I think...
The screen just brighten up a bit and thats it XD
the num lock and caps will light up when pressed though...Now comes the serious part...
I lost my receipt T.T
I wonder if i go to acer support thingy will they fix my laptop for me,
If i say im from temasek poly because I heard from my that laptop bought during the roadshow at school comes with a 3 year warranty?I also stupid go repair shop,They say lcd problem so need change and it cost $400+
So I really hope the warranty is not void :P

Go to acer service shop. If you bought it, there should be a record...

Unfortunately screen damages are not covered by warranty. sucks to be you bro..

My acer desktop also broke down recently, just before the warranty was up.
Last time I owned an acer laptop, also broke down just before the warranty was up, it was the lcd's inverter that spoilt. I don't seem to want to trust acer products anymore. -

Go to the ACER service centre, it's just next to the CREATIVE Building.
I also planning to go there to service my lappie, hope they don't erase my photos.

Do you need to pay?
When you buy Acer products, you can always register on-line. No need to send the postcard. Receipt is no use, other than giving the date of purchase. If the warranty is three years, you can try registering on-line now, try to get the accurate date of purchase because they will have records too. Hopefully they will honour the warranty.
Warranty sometimes cover labour ony, but must pay for parts.
Weekdays Acer service centre will try to fix on the spot, Saturdays they will only receive your laptop.

Sreen Damages are only covered in Accidental Damage Support not Limited International Warrantry that kind...so it still need $400 to repair the damage...so got warrantry...no warrantry...still need to pay
