hi i just bought a powercolor ati hd 4850 512mb and it require 6 pin pci express power connector
what is that?? it is some kind of plug? and if it is a plug how to connect it to the motherboard?
btw i am currently using ati hd 2400

For the PCI X16, connect to your motherboard via the exhisting cables from the HD2400. (which too, uses a PCI express X16).
oh okie and where does the other end of the 6 pin plug goes? btw sim lim would sell the 6 pin plug right?

Search arnd your Mobo/ and if your Hd2400 does have these plugs.
Your Package should come with the plugs.
This is the visiontek package. - and many other packages, i have seen comes with the power connector
ya, any computer shops should sell them too.
connect the 2 white sections to your motherboard. There should be 2 "plugs" for @ your mobo

first, check what power plug your desktop has.
Some of them is from 2 pin to 6pin and some 4pin to 6pin.
