Ever since the latest virus definition update by AVG, it has detected my Storm Codec media player as being a Trojan Horse Downloader.Generic8.CIR. Which means I can effectively forget abt watching my movies/videos since all are locked (application failed to initialize)
How to remove such false positives???
Simple. Uninstall AVG, install Avast. Problem solved.
Uhh...?
Avast is better than AVG meh?
nod32 or panda is also good
Hmm thanks. but apart from switching my antivirus, wad else could I do? wait for updates to remove the false positive??
I doubt Storm Codec is the one with problems. now it cant even work cos the dll isnt working -_-"
or u can try to put an exception for that program so that your antivirus will not block it
Hmmm I cant do it...it will keep popping up the dll. now the program refuses to work??

Yes, definitely.
Hmm. Any other way other than to uninstall AVG? Been used to it...
Possible to make the false positive disappear? :D
Hmm. Or...should I just remove Storm Codec? Apparently the dll is really some sort of spyware/virus. Anyone can confirm?
Now I'm stuck with a DivX player which cant read much files. zzz.

Sure. First way is you go work for them and fix the bug. Second way is to sue the crap out of them, claiming emotional distress and they will fix it real quick.
