xp service pack 3, safe to dl?

  issit safe to dl xp service pack3?

  my comp prompts me to dl it
  but is there any issue with the pack?
  issit charlize dl oredi her comp cannot boot or what?

  my lappie is a Thinkpad T41

  i dun bother downloading updates as they are a waste of time and lags my com.. :D

  been using it since day one....so far so good

  I using Thinkpad T43....installed  SP3...working fine.

  I think its OK to install if U do not have any in-house software in ur laptop and U did ur backup prior to installing.

  if all else fails...take heart that there is the IBM recovery CD.

   

  for those using office systems...check with the system administrator....most administrators I know dun like SP3...because it can interfere with in-house programs.
