Ya, google will tellu wad to do for backup, usually it isnothing special, like using system restore
as for utilities, see wad kind u need, ccleaner regseeker for registry clearning
if u are more into overclocking, use rivatuner, speedfan, coretemp

Recovery as in what? Crash? Virus Attack?
Backup for adult can means to copy your personal things to external harddisk or CD or DVD.
So what is there to introduce?

use Acronis True Image or norton ghost to create image...
any crashes...just clone back
