I think ur CPU heat sink gone case?
Time to get a new com?

Wah liddat i dont knw how to help u.
Sometimes, things need to rest.
it nids to go to a better place... in PC heaven...
look like no com expert here. :( need to wait for admin .
Stuff to try... Is your graphic card loose? Is your graphic temp high when playing these games?
quite hot my graphic card when playing.
i dun think my card is loose as it is clipped to my mainboard
Power supply problem, your whole com will trip... Most likely is your graphic card over heat...
see what the others views...
but overheating usually doesent cause the PC to shutdown. rather, the GPU would lockup, as i have experience before with my ATi card.i would guess that the PC hit a fatal error with some textures or whatnot while running the game and it couldnt recover from it.
Maybe it is ur GPU overheat, did you overclock it?
Sometimes when it overheat too much it just crash and restarts, some times it is not just the GPU overheated, it might be the southbridge of the motherbaord
my 3870x2 did not give overheat syndromes like crashing or wad, it just continue to run till it shows me artifacts(distorted lines and boxes of ur image) and i took it for 1 to 1 exchange.
If ur card is still under warranty, u should bring it down for RMA, before anything else bad happens

nowadays overheat will auto shut down one ar?? i still remember last time.. my video card the fan brokedown...... then got fire..then i still online... still chatting... till i smell some burning smell.... i still got time to tell all those ppl i am talking to that my cpu is on fire... but.. no one believe mi .. knn.. then i shut down lor...... cannot on after that.... need to change card lor..
i did not overclock it
It could be due to one of the following:
i know my problem now it is either my mainboard or CPU, it is confirmed not my graphic card as i take my card to another computer and it work fine. But CPU will it burned out so fast?

do u have a third party CPU cooler? not the stock one that comes with the processor
you need to monitor ur CPU temperature, see wad is the temperature

see situation one lar, my GPU overheated, but continue running
my CPU overheat will shutdown and restart, cos i overclock from 2.6 to 3.4, and running benchmarks, so i guess it overheated and crashed

how to check the temperature of the CPU?
use a program like speedfan. although some sensors it might be unble to read. like mine. it shows my desktop PC's CPU as 0degC.
my motherbroad can moniter the cpu temperature, the highest it goes is 75-80
ty guys for ur views i manage to solve the problem
