  try use system restore to restore to the time where before you upgrade your media player.

  after that scan harddrive for bad sector.

  this time manual download and upgrade your media player. hope this can help.

  update the drivers of your IBM.

  ya.. all the drivers.. like IBM utilities, graphics card, sound card ect ect.

  you will need them anyway.. since it's 3 years old.

  crap! i also had a blue screen just now! I was surfing then suddenly the blue screen popped out and i was in too much shock to read what was the "error" message ..

  Then windows rebooted ..

  Mine is a rather new lappie .. i hope its just a one-off occassion ..

  hardware? but my lappie is quite new .. barely half a year ..

  and i din realli d/l any softwares apart from antivirus, real player, the new msn ..
