I have a laptop which irritates me to no end, even as I am typing now.
Sometimes the laptop will act as though it has the 'Ctrl' key held down, even though I have plucked out both the Ctrl keys from the laptop keyboard (which, btw, has about 15 other keys not working so I'm using a USB keyboard now). When the Ctrl button is held down the world turns over. I can't scroll, type, or even open folders normally. This 'condition' will stay there until I press the remnants of my right Ctrl key of the laptop keyboard, then the left Ctrl key of the USB keyboard. However it doesn't go away forever and during bad spells it returns on average over 20 times per minute. (Today is especially bad)
I turned on this function at the control panel/mouse which shows where the cursor is when Ctrl button is pressed, so that I know when the 'condition' occurs. When big rings start spamming my screen I start bashing keyboards. (not literally). The rings appear really quickly, faster than any human being spamming 4 Ctrl keys at continuously, so I believe it has little to do with the keyboard itself.
Is the laptop screwed? (because it has many other problems as well)
It only affects the laptop keyboard as I understand? The external USB keyboard isn't affected?
I think so...I think it's not the keyboard's problem though. This is because none of the Ctrl buttons were pressed in the first place.
