Im using vista and these few days, when i turn on my computer, it will keep getting a startup repair before the login screen.
Everytime i select the Startup repair (as recommended) it will need to system restore back to the previous time but everytime after i system restore, the problem will appear again in a few days time. So i will always restore back to the same date. I cannot find any problem like installing any program or installing any updates.
PEASE HELP

Have u done a virus scan? Also, remember to unplug all pen drives before running startup repair.
Ya, i have done a virus scan with bitdefender2008. No problems.
I didnt plug any pen drives while running it.
Any solution ?

I think you should do what WAW8 (vistaforums) mentioned and do a clean reinstallation after you backup your data.
Err, i'm not a pro in this, can i know how to reinstall ? :xx

Step 4: Click the "Custom (advanced)" option to finish the installation
When the Which type of installation do you want? screen appears, click Custom (advanced). Then, follow the instructions to install Windows Vista.

Is the any solution if i dont have the disc ?
I only have it for xp =X
How did u get Vista in the first place?
Must be OEM.
Read the manual, press the right button, which will format and re-install Vista.
If you're able to boot up, back up all important data before pressing the button, because you will curse the damn button.
I buy i computer its already vista
Lets say i back up my data on drive D and i reinstall and formal drive C
will i still be able to restore the back up ?
If you're referring to programs, no. All programs need to be re-installed. All your personal documents can be restored back, like pictures, music, word documents, etc.
vista really is something wrong.
it was fine this morning when i went out.
but now i found some of the quick launch missing. my favourites folder is empty.

Vista sometimes sok sok one lar. i have both Home Basic and Premium. both works perfectly fine for me. used to both XP and Vista. anyway for a copy of Windows that is suspected by Microsoft to be counterfeit, can it be upgraded to Vista by installing by a CD?
