hello?! eh! i cannot access internet... how?!?!?!??!
if possible try to avoid...not much prospect.
I was doing this for the past 2-3 yrs...recently just switch to j2ee
ok... bro thoreldan... for paywise, how much normally it will be?
Just be aware that you may have to serve people who ask questions like: "I can't send an email. Is the Internet full?", or
depends.... if you working in RP, it is most probably formatting and reinstalling... that's what they does best...
I did that as my last vacation job...can learn a lot of things on the job...practical skill....but shitty in the sense that sometimes...ur clients expect U to perform miracles for them....
and of course...there are the noobs that pays for basically nothing...I once went to this office...client complain printer cannot print....I solved the problem and got out in like 5 mins...the solution?....switch on the power for the printer switch.
That was my first job, you can learn a lot of things from it but you better find out what kind of computer equipments your employer is using first beforehand.
I got a nasty suprise when I joined my previous employer because the office is using very old computers like Pentium processor running Windows 95 OS.... and their accounting database server is running on a Penitum II processor with Windows NT... and that was in the Year 2005. There was hell lot of problems/complaints when I first started but I managed to get things running more smoothly after purchasing and upgrading with new computer + networking hardware and software like Windows XP... I have seen CRT monitors and Power Supply Units going up in smoke, PS/2 mouse that has intermitent connections, HDD that has only 2 GB storage space, printer that always get paper jam etc... and when user's computer HDD crashed, they may demand you to retreive their locally stored emails which is beyond anyone capabilities without the proper equipment, spare parts and clean room envrionment. I also discovered computers with few hundreds of malware infections.... sign...the list can go on. I am gald all those problems is history for me now.
I guess the explanations should be good enough. That's what they do basically.
You may be doing more, especially if you work for a big brand name PC company. Your job is more than what they describe and may be only involved in a few areas, like hardware and networking only.
My company does that. Hardware and networking related is handled by one bunch of people, software by another.
