Hello all. I recently got a 2wire 2701HGV-E modem. I tried connecting it and i managed to get the power, ethernet, usb-pc, broadband and internet lights lighted up. However, i am still unable to connect to the internet. it shows tat i'm already connected at http://192.168.1.254 but when i'm in Internet Explorer, i can't load the pages.
Hope that some kind souls will help me! Thanks in advance!
i think you should call singnet for help, if it cannot be resolved over the phone, they willl send someone down to check for you.
maybe u need to re login, as sometimes when u restart the modem, they will tend to 'forget' ur password, and not connect to the gateway
are there any led lights on the modem that is red in colour?
thanks for the help. all led lights are green le. but dunno y can't work!

did U open up ur IE and go to http://192.168.1.254 and see if anything comes up?if there is something...U should be able to login using a default login name and password(check the manual)...
U are connected using LAN or wireless?
yes i called up singnet and i can connect le. but i dun haf wireless card on my comp so de person say cannot create wireless network.
its not create wireless netwrok, without a wireless card/aka wifi, you can't connect to the modem
okie i've got a qns. let's say i dun haf a wireless card not a USB wireless card adapter. but i've got a wireless router. can i create a wireless network in my house?
There should be a button called Connect (or something else that has a similar meaning). Click on that to connect to the Internet. If your plan is unlimited, set it not to disconnect after X minutes or disconnect automatically when it detects that your network is idle. Both of these options often give users headache because they don't re-connect back automatically, and even if they do, it's a bad job.
Now about the wireless... I don't get you. Do you have wireless in the first place? Is this problem related to your inability to connect to the Internet?
