I've got a problem with my computer.
Frequently, when I switch on my computer for the first time of the day, it'll automatically switch off [blackout] then start again for several times before it can start up then finally stable. I've tried reformatting my hard disk drive that consist of all the system files but it doesn't seemed to work. The problem is still there but then, it stopped for a few days, yesterday, the problem comes back again.
How could the problem be solved? Where the problem comes from?
Anyone has an idea about this?

What is that? Computer has a chassis?
do u hear any beeping sound?
did u accidently knock ur computer or sth? any hardware gone out of place?
it could be your mobo, psu or ram.
Pls check for the past few days, did you hook up new hardware in your pc? Or any cable connections? Last time my pc also same problem as yours, auto start up and shutdown. Finally I narrow down to the small cable adaptor in the dvdrw ( 4pin cable/SATA cable ).

what applications were you using?
Automatically as in what switched off? Just the monitor or the whole computer?
Feel your CPU. Do you feel a weak vibration? If so, the computer is still running. Kindly note that it shouldn't be a strong vibration, because that means something is spinning hard enough.
Right click on my computer -> properties goto advanced tab and check under "startup and recovery". if you click on the settings, do you see the "automatic restart" checked under system failure. I am not saying that is the problem here. From the way how your system behaves, it appears to me that during the startup there is some failure happening and your system keeps restarting.
You can uncheck the automatic restart and then see if you can find any specific error message while you log in. Also check event logs in your computer to see whatz going on there. you may refer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427 for getting some ideas of event logger. hope this helps in troubleshooting your problem.
