Any recommendations?
Need about 2 domain names and 2 websites (hosting) along with it...
Is it good enough to buy a domain name, then point it to a free freewebs account? Not expecting high traffic yet.

Yes, if you're not expecting a good deal of web traffic, then a Freewebs account should be sufficient. I'm not really experienced with purchasing of domain names, but you couldn't go wrong with most domain name registrars out there. If you simply want me to name one for either domain name registration or web hosting services, you can try www.on.sg (Oryon Networks) whose services I'm currently using.
Regarding Freewebs, I'm not sure whether they allow domain parking (pointing your domain names bought elsewhere to your Freewebs account), so you may need to check that up and confirm the details.

I think this sounds crazy to me. I've never heard of buying an account and then point to something free.
If you're going to do that... why not stick to the free account?
I don't see much sense in wasting money... and time managing different accounts and ISPs.

Domain names are cheap ma, so if you can manage them on your own, each of them would only cost you 10 USD per year; entry-level web hosting services would set you down by around 40 - 70 USD a year.

Yeah... they are cheap. But it looks like a good way to waste time to me.

Waste simi time? It's called branding ma. Like say if I fix computers and have a website for it, it would be more professional to have a URL like "http://i-void-warranties.com/" as compared to "http://i-void-warranties.blogspot.com/" or "http://freewebs.com/i-void-warranties" wat.
there ARE free web hosting services out there that doesn't come with a default domain name ....
so if you want to use it .... you'd have to fork out money for a domain name ....
and yes, I agree .... it's all about branding ...

This one makes sense.
You can get domin cheap. but then what it matters the most is which service provider u bind ur domin with.it boils down to reliability and service.
I can get a free service provider from someone as advertised just to click a few ad to obtain it. but who knows? within a month the host will shut its server and u will lose all your data and backups.
free hosting sites are available everywhere... what you need to do is register your hosting site and put the domain name that you intend to register. After that, register your domain and your site should be up within 24 hours.
My previous site was up within 12 hours upon payment.
the host that I was using is 000webhost.com and the domain registry was hostsg.com cos it had the cheapest .com.sg domain i can find...

get a domain name for US$10/year and then re-route it to another free web.
try this ..http://www.sgmuscle.com.. it will go to a free forum there.
GoDaddy is good I think, but some online reviews don't go too well for it
