Over the past few days my com has been making some sort of whirling sound, not the fan wan, its much louder.
Its sort of an on and off thing and since my com could work normally, i ignored it.
Then just now, was using my com when suddenly my com sorta hanged, then there was this static sound and my screen blacked out, then the static sound stopped and got replaced by beep beep beep.
I tot it might haf been the fan, so i tried removing it but there is still a whirling sound when i use my com.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I hope its not my hard disk tts having problems. Have alot of impt stuff in it tt i cant lose.
It could be the fan inside the power supply unit (PSU). Does your graphics card has its own fan? You may want to check that one too. Nevertheless, conducting backups of your important data would definitely be the next wise thing to do.
If you have a techie friend and don't mind spending a couple of hours offline, ask him to lend you a spare PSU to replace and test with. He should be able to help you with it, or you can always DIY and look up for the plenty number of such step-by-step guides online.

The motherboard does, when a essential component in the system is disconnected or out of power.
