SQL Server Service Pack 2 update

  This update has been popping out in my computer desktop taskbar for quite some time now

  It somehow cannot be installed, the reasons, i'm not very sure why

  Everytime I want to shut down my laptop, there is the "install update and shut down" option. I find this rather irritating

  Is there a solution for this problem, perhaps a way to remove this update?

  Vista or xp?

   

  Prevent it from happening again.

  Vista:

  1. Start.
  2. type in windows update
  3. At the left side, click on Change Settings
  4. Tick: "check for updates but let me choose whether to install them"
  5. click ok (uac required)

   

  Untick update.

  1. Follow steps 1 to2 above.
  2. At the main screen click on "view available updates."
  3. Untick them

  Download the file and manually install it.

  If it encounters any errors, post back again.

  Since you didn't state your version of SQL, kindly Google yourself and download it.
