windows update XP service pack3

  hey guys, i've been trying to update my com via windows update but it always fail to download the XP service pack 3. this is the error code Installation Failure Error Code: 0x8007F0CC Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following resources. any help?

  OT: I can't find the standalone package for Win XP sv Pack 3 at Mircosoft Download Centre.

  The Service Pack will not be installed.

  Error Code:8007F0CC happens if you have changed your "boot.ini" file.
  
  Have you created a custom boot screen, or have you used software such as
  Style XP to alter
  your boot screen?
  
  If you are using Style XP upgrade to the latest version. If you altered the
  "boot.ini"
  file yourself and made a custom boot screen, just replace "boot.ini" with
  the backup you
  made before editing it.
