I am still using my good old Windows XP. And Windows 2000 in MS Virtual PC 2007. A side question: is P4 3.0GHz very outdated today with stuffs like quad core etc.?

is your pentium 4 the original version or the one that comes with hyperthreading?
if its the hyperthreading one then it isnt so outdated. my school has graphic designing workstations running on 3.2ghz p4 ht's, they arent as good as the other pentium d offering during the time we bought them, but they fare well.

Vista as of today,isn't that bad as when it's just released.
Just to side track abit,Vista is just like a ferraris or lambos. You dont put your 4 cylinder engine under the hood, you put a V12 in it to run it smooth.
