free antivirus?

  hi does anyone have any free antivirus to recommend?? got a new vista laptop

  vista is a virus...

  but you can try avg.. it's pretty good..

  yea tts what i thot to. my company isusing avg 7.5 and its pretty solid. jus to confirm there is an avg 8.0 free edition rite?

  i do have a mcafee 2007 plus, but i heard that its rubbish so quite hesitant to install it. running on free norton internet security now.

  google is your friend..

  go look it up..

  i don't use an antivirus at all.. i use OSX-Leopard

  Avast antivirus is pretty good. Now with built-in anti-spyware, anti-rootkit too.

  Use ESET NOD32 antivirus...its pretty good..theres a 30 day trial version

  I believe there is 1 year McAfee VirusScan Plus.

  nt sure if working for vista a not.

  put in avast:) seems good, did an auto update and scan, setup was abreeze. doesnt seem to slow down the comp much either and there is auto internet protection. will post here if there is any probs

  i tried alot of antivirus for my laptop too...norton kinda crashed in vista...their support team is urgh...then tried zonealarm..too ma fan and slow down my already VERY SLOW os...takes too long to shut down

  AVG update always crashed oso...maybe its just me LOL...end up i chose avast..so far so good XD
