  if i don't want some programme to launch upon startup
  how to change it? i forgot how to do it.

  eh erm how about processes?

  got some windows media player plugin tt always starts but i dont need it

  oso got some groovemonitor thingy inside the list of processes

  got anyway to stop them?

  instead of using msconfig there's a programme.

  Quick Startup was developed to provide quick access to all of the programs that are automatically started when you turn on or logon to your computer. Such programs consume a good part of your system's resources, and can slow down other programs. Using Quick Startup, you can inspect, edit, and/or temporary disable such programs.

  Version 2.3 is a bug fixing release.

  Start

  Run.

  type msconfig.exe 

  Once displayed, click on the "Startup" tab.
