Hi, I would like to ask is there any guide that shows how a webpage could generate into a PDF format. For instance, if this sgforums page have got a button when clicked, there would ask you to download the PDF format for this particular page itself.
It would be great if anyone could enlighten me.
I would recc this:
http://html2pdf.seven49.net/Web/ ( a web application which converts the website into pdf format)
or.
http://www.print-driver.com/download/. (an application which converts your webpage into pdf). The trial version is free to download. What differs the trail from the purchased version would be a water mark on each pdf.
edit: the first link is foc and it bears no water mark.
You need the PDF Print add-in from the Adobe Suite.I think its bundled with Adobe Acrobat Professional which cost quite an amount..
Try searching for some thirdparty version if you dont want to fork out money.
the 1st resource looked a bit misleading though...
Is there anything much simplier like adding a line of codes in my program and with a button click, it could generate?
and on top of that, the 1st link is like I need the URL before they could convert, but what if I say my URL is cookies/session enabled? Could it actually bypass the security?

try this 2 freewares:
I guess I wasn't that specific =(
If I were to be the administrator, and my client is constantly on the move, the how could my client create .pdf then? Say if client A install the software in computer A and client A goes to say,India, and uses computerB, so it meant by computer B needs installation!
Is there any way that I could solve the problem? I know if there is a line of codes that I could link, then it wouldn't be a problem.... ahhh. I hate web applications
hmm, it's tough, let me see what i can search for ya.
thanks! I was figuring hard but it couldn't work.
3rd parties, programs is not that ideal. If only I know if I needed to create another class.
If you mean having this HTML-to-PDF functionality as a server-side application, and your server supports PHP, the scripts below should be close to what you're looking for (though I'm not sure whether they work):
http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/796.html
http://www.easysw.com/htmldoc/pdf-o-matic.php
http://www.easysw.com/htmldoc/pdf-o-matic.php?source
Yes! but I have to consider that it is a .PHP - to -PDF functionality. Because my page would have a session and cookie enabled and the link cannot bypass the security.
don't really understand what do you want.
all i need is a client that can print a web page to pdf will do.
why do you need to go through so much trouble.
Yea. Okay... You see the links have given me are 3rd parties and they just simply copy the URL and convert to PDF. e.g.
YAHOO(www.yahoo.com.sg) ----> 3RD PARTY PROGRAM/WEBPAGE ----> PDF
but what I asking for help is whether is there any codes that could bypass session/cookies. e.g.
YAHOO MAIL (http://sg.mg60.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.rand=84uis00oknhrc) ----> ANY PROGRAM/WEBPAGE/CODES ----> PDF
so the problem is that the program/webpage tier could not access my yahoomail for example to generate to PDF. Similarly, I could give you the URL as stated above but you cannot access to it...
if you install a local pdf printer you can print any pdf document.
